29 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that NDNA members can access a new training programme from member benefit provider and social enterprise Yoga4 Nurseries. The organisation has launched ‘Yoga4 Families’, a programme that enables nursery teams to practice yoga with both children and families and to create a new income stream for the nursery.

21 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that the winners of the NDNA Day Nursery of the Year Award, supported by Hope Education, NDNA Nursery Carer of the Year Award, supported by Oral-B Stages, and NDNA Member Champions, supported by Pound Gates & Co Limited, were crowned at a fabulous awards ceremony at York Racecourse last night.

13 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today welcomed the Government’s discussion paper ‘Extending The Free Early Education Entitlement: Discussion Document on a New Code of Practice.’ NDNA said it was an opportunity to look at how flexibility could work in practice and also address continuing issues in the system.

12 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today revealed the five nurseries which are all in the running for the UK title for the NDNA Day Nursery of the Year 2009 award, supported by Hope Education. NDNA also announced the three finalists for the NDNA Nursery Carer of the Year award, supported by Oral-B Stages.

7 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that it has won a tender with Thurrock Council to help ensure settings across the local authority area are sustainable. NDNA will now be providing a range of support, training, advice and information to providers to achieve this.

6 May 2009 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that it has produced a series of case studies that demonstrate how providers in the private, voluntary and independent full daycare sectors are innovatively delivering quality childcare for children and families.
